This domain of teaching will address the professional knowledge I bring to the teaching profession and the application of this knowledge in response to students varying needs. This involves both knowing my students well including their diverse linguistic, cultural and religious backgrounds and recognising that all students come to school with differing life experiences. This domain states that teachers know the curriculum and the ways in which is best to structure developmentally appropriate learning through relevant strategies to make content meaningful (AITSL, 2014).
